PBA Endorsed Trade Program

The Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA), educators and industry stakeholders collaborated to create the Endorsed Trade Program to increase credibility in the job market for high school graduates and highly skilled builders in the workforce. Designed with students and employers in mind, the program's goals aim to:
  • Attract and increase the number of trainees in construction trades.
  • Recognize quality construction trade training in schools.
  • Ensures national skill standards.
  • Form a mutually beneficial school/business partnership.
  • Recognize student achievement.
  • Expand post-secondary training opportunities and promote career success.
  • Provide a quality workforce.

The PBA Endorsed Trade Program accelerates the placement process for students transitioning into the workforce by requiring curricula that meets industry standards, ensuring adequate facilities for proper hands-on training, assisting in the development of home builder student chapters, facilitating local internships and providing a process for ensuring students can connect with builders. Mission

We, the Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA), are committed to a viable, high-quality construction industry and the workforce to support it. We collaborate with schools throughout PA to provide students with industry recognized certification to strengthen their skills and qualifications.

The hardworking businesses in our industry need access to dedicated, knowledgeable employees. By creating a network of ties between PBA members, local student chapters and the community, we are able to provide a level of assurance that students completing their training have received the instruction they need to begin a successful career.

Benefits

"The PBA endorsement is very important to our construction trade programs. It adds statewide credibility to our programs and allows our students the opportunity to locate employment."
- Glenn Meck of Lebanon County CTC
